The Hottest New Restaurants Around LA

One of my favorite ways to escape the summer heat is to relax in the chic (air conditioned!) interiors of a fabulous restaurant. Some of the summer’s most anticipated Los Angeles openings are finally ready to be enjoyed - and here are the ones that have caught my eye. People watching, a delectable meal, a delicious drink… you can’t go wrong.

In keeping with the intimate, private, and exclusive feel at the Georgian, dining is reservation-only, with just 65 seats available at a time. Photography is also typically not permitted, and diners are encouraged to put their phones away to enjoy the live jazz performers and piano bar. Craft cocktails come from bar manager Jerom Morris and Italian wines were assembled by wine director Kristin Olszewski. There are, of course, classic Italian dishes from chef David Almany, who previously worked under Nancy Silverton for years. The menu, included below, features veal Parmesan, rigatoni alla vodka, and a 48-ounce dry-aged ribeye.

You no longer have to jam Levain’s hockey puck-sized cookies into your carry-on before flying back home because this NYC classic (finally) has an LA location. At their new Larchmont Village shop you’ll find signature flavors like walnut chocolate chip, coconut caramel, and rocky road with marshmallow bits. Coffee drinks are available, too, plus sticky buns and chocolate chip brioche if your sweet tooth isn’t demanding a cookie today.
